Purnima is a Personal Counsellor, Registered Social Worker, Yoga Therapist, Life Coach, a Wellness Workshop Facilitator and Speaker. A certified Laughter Yoga instructor and trainer, she is also an accredited Interpreter in Bengali, Hindi and Marathi languages
Currently, registered with BC College of Social Workers, in British Columbia, Canada, Purnima has completed the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training. She has authored analytical and other statutory reports, for agencies and government bodies. She develops and delivers bespoke Health and Wellness Workshops for Corporate and non-profit sectors. and small private groups of friends.

Purnima is a happy and joyful person known for her calm therapeutic presence. She feels delighted to welcome everyone to this domain of wellness through self-care approaches. In her individual one-on-one, as well as group workshop sessions she loves to share the fruits of her continued professional development, training and rich work and personal life experiences as well as wisdom drawn from life sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, Physics, Yoga & Ayurveda.
Purnima is intensely creative and considers herself being a perpetual student of self-care through Yoga, Ayurveda and passionate about cellular level, quantum healing. She has with more than 25 years of experience, supporting personal healing journeys of people in India, UK, and Canada.
Background:
After the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Purnima completed Masters in Medical and Psychiatric (clinical) Social Work; both from one of India’s premier education centre, University of Pune (previously University of Poona) in Maharashtra. Grateful to be in a helping profession as a Counsellor, Social Worker and Yoga Therapist, she loves to be positively involved, be supportive and to spend quality time with her family and friends.
Creating artwork from recycled materials, canvas painting with acrylics, gardening, singing and dancing are her favourite de-stressors. She is spiritually inclined and practices yoga and meditation regularly. Her other interests include gardening, travelling and meeting people from different cultures, and animals. She has a special bond with Mother Nature and lives with awareness to minimize global warming.
